The fishing techniques of Channel, Flathead and Blue
There are three main species of catfish in rivers, lakes and streams in the United States – the channel catfish, blue catfish and flathead catfish. For the most part, you go about capturing the same way, but there are some differences in technique between them. If you go for a certain species of catfish, here are some tips on capturing what he wants.
Be Careful – Blues and Channel Cats often seem
Blue and catfish channel are often confused for each other. They seem remarkably similar, and many catfish fishermen get mixed beginners. The best way to tell the difference is to analyze the fins. Blues have anal fin in the same bottom of the spine that are long and pointed. The channels have more rounded fins in the area. Another way you know what is that blue catfish rarely have blemishes. If you see any spots at all, you know I have a channel cat. Blues rounded heads usually have more larger and more too. Channel Cats

Blues
Blue Cats are the grandees catfish. You can tell because of their distinctive color, which is a kind of blue-gray, and also by the indicators mentioned above (the fins of the tail and the overall shape).
