What is the WARMEST Jacket? (without any regard for weight)?
Warmest material? Wool, Shearling Sheepskin, Down (varying fill ratings), thick poly fleece, Thick Leather, Prima-Loft, etc.
Warmest style? Aviator Bomber Jacket, Down Parka, Puffy Nylon Down (nuptse style), Wool Overcoat, 3 in 1 ski jacket, thick leather motorcycle jacket, etc.
I am in the coldest place I’ve ever been, and I’m searching for a VERY WARM coat. My dad says it’s Thinsulate, but I don’t find it to be very warm. Thank you for your help!
well, i think i have a puffy nylon down… not really sure, its puffy thats all i no, it has thumb holes that go over or under gloves to stop snow from getting in. its 80%down and 20% feather stuffing, even in -30c plus windchill i am still very comfortable with just it and a t shirt on. only 1 down side, the feathers poke through the inner shell and are really annoying…
